At Fryz we use Palm Oil to fry all our food products. We feel it is important to use a vegetable oil rather than animal fats, and we believe it tastes better too. However, in recent years there has been growing concern that Palm Oil production is harmful to the environment. In particular, the natural habitat of Orangutans is threatened by the expansion of Palm Oil plantations.

We would like to make our thoughts on this matter known. At Fryz, as far as we are able, we take care to source our Palm Oil from sustainable sources. In 2004, the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) was formed with the objective of promoting the growth and use of sustainable oil palm products through credible global standards and engagement of stakeholders. We ensure that our Palm Oil comes from an RSPO member.
